INDUSTRIAL ACTION Wednesday 30th November 2011
We are still awaiting official confirmation that the planned national day of strike action will go ahead on Wednesday 30th November. If the decision to strike is confirmed then all Stirling primary schools will be closed to staff and pupils.
Staff from a variety of unions are taking part in this planned day of action including: catering, ancillary, janitorial and teaching staff. Due to uncertainty regarding numbers of staff attending for work on that day, the decision has been made to close all schools, in the event of industrial action, as pupils’ health and safety cannot be guaranteed on that day.
Non striking staff will not have access to their normal place of work but instead have been instructed to attend a PPP school which are all operated outwith the public sector e.g. Balfron High School.
If the current situation changes then you will be notified as soon as possible. Please check the school’s website for any up-dates.
