Cycle Training Assistant Course

Are you interested in helping to support Cycle Training sessions at Kippen Primary School?
There is one space available for a parent volunteer on a 1 day training assistant course.
Course: Cycling Scotland. Cycle Trainer Assistant
Date: Tuesday 17th March 2015
 Time:  9:14 – 4:30  pm
Venue: Stirling Rugby Club, Bridgehaugh Park, Stirling FK9 5AP
The Cycling Scotland 1 day Cycle Training Assistant course is aimed at instructors delivering the Bikeability Scotland training programme at National standards Levels 1 and Level 2, but not Level 3.  The course certifies candidates to train children using the Bikeability Scotland resources. During the CTA course, candidates learn how to prepare, & deliver sessions for Bikeability Scotland Levels 1 and Level 2 –  including dynamic risk assessment of training taking place.

You would need to bring with you:-
A bike in good legal condition with 2 working brakes
A bike lock will be useful
A cycle helmet
Clothing for indoor training and outdoor sessions on bike: It may be cold and wet so bring full waterproofs and warm layers, plus gloves, spare socks, etc or it may be hot and sunny so bring shorts and sun cream…..
Packed lunch
Pen or pencil for taking notes
