P1,2 and 3 Nativity
On Wednesday 11th and Thursday 12th December, P1, 2 and 3 pupils at KippenPrimary School performed their Nativity play, Jesus’ Christmas Party. At each performance, 45 actors demonstrated their skills in expressive arts in front of an audience of 60 parents, friends and relatives. The pupils all did a fantastic job and received lots of glowing comments from their audience. Staff were really proud of their pupils’ achievements.
They told the tale of an Innkeeper and his wife from Bethlehem. There was nothing they liked more than a good night’s sleep. But on a busy night in Bethlehem a good night’s sleep seemed to be impossible. Everyone had something to celebrate! It was party time!
There were 2 main casts which performed on different days. This meant that no one had to worry what would happen if any of the main parts were ill on the day! The Innkeeper, The Innkeeper’s Wife, Joseph and Mary had to learn lots of lines. Everyone worked really hard to learn their lines, the song words and their stage directions. A very big well done to everyone!

As well as perfoming, P1,2 and 3 designed the tickets and the programmes for the performances.

Many thanks to everyone who helped make this a successful Nativity. We had a fantastic audience at both performances and it was a really lovely atmosphere in the hall.
Thanks to the teams from P4 who helped with scenery alongside Mrs Middlemas and helped set up and dismantle the stage. Also thanks to the team from P6 who helped with the sound equipment.
