The Smiley Circus came to town!

The Smiley Circus came to town!

Primary 2/3 have been learning about the circus. We decided to perform in our very own circus for our sharing assembly. We called it The Smiley Circus.  The P2/3 parents/carers were invited to watch us along with the rest of the school. The children have been practising their circus skills during PE. We had plate spinners, jugglers, tightrope walkers, hoop tumblers, acrobats and hula hoopers. We all dressed up in colourful circus costumes. Mrs Mier was the Ringmaster.

We also learned some songs from the musical ‘Barnum’ which was based on the life of PT Barnum the great showman and circus owner. We loved singing ‘One Brick at a Time’ and building a brick tower.  Morven and Robert sang solos in ‘Song to Make You Smile’,  Zara and Eloise sang solos in ‘Rainbow Connection’ and Caitlin D and Beth san ‘You’re Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile’. We tried hard to make everyone smile and we think we succeeded!
