Primary 5/6 have begun learning about this term’s topic, the rainforest and are really enjoying it. So far, we have been looking at the various species of plants and animals that live in the rainforest. We have also been learning about the people who live in the rainforest and comparing their lives to our own. We have discussed deforestation and the effects this has on those living in the rainforest, and how we could help to minimise deforestation. Coming up in the next few weeks we have a visit from Mrs. Douglas who is going to teach us about fruits which grow in the rainforest.
Our rainforest topic is off to a great start and we look forward to inviting parents and carers into our classroom on the open day to have a look at all the great work we have been doing
