A jacobite visit

On Monday afternoon, after lunch primary 4/5 went to the spare classroom to see a man called Mr Beveridge. He was laying out lots of interesting things. When we had sat ourselves down he described his clothing. He was wearing a philabeg kilt, he had a blue bonnet with a white cockade and an eagle feather on it. He had a Scottish flag which can also be called the St.Andrews cross. He had the lion rampant which was only supposed to be flown when a member of the Scottish Royal family about. Mr Beveridge had a sgian dubh but Jacobites wore then on their shirt.  We also saw some of the weapons the Jacobites used in battle.

P 4/5 learned a lot about the Jacobites and really enjoyed it !!
