Tree Care Morning in Burnside Wood
Sunday 5 June from 10am-1pm
Meet at Football pitch entrance
Bring some gloves
Adults bring shears if you have some
It has been great to see so many families coming along to plant the trees in Burnside Wood over the last couple of years. For them to succeed and grow, we need to give them a little ongoing care, by clearing vegetation from around their base and checking that their supports and protectors are still in place. The Kippen Community Woodland Group hoped that school families might like to get involved with this next stage of looking after the trees, and have set a date for the work session on Sunday 5 June.
Kippen families have helped the Kippen Community Woodland Group to plant hundreds of new trees over the past few years, and this year we are hoping you will help ‘take care’ of them.
Please come along to help clear the grass from around the recently planted trees, and make sure their guards are secure.
Maybe you will even be able to spot the very ones you helped plant!
