Tree planting day: Sun 2 March (10am – 2pm) meet at football pitch end
The Kippen Woodland Group have received 400 native trees to plant in Burnside Wood via the Woodland Trust’s ‘Free Tree packs’ scheme for schools and communities.
They are inviting school families to come along and get involved in the tree planting – a great way to get kids interested in the different types of native trees and give them a connection with their local woodlands. Over the coming years they can return and enjoy watching ‘their trees’ grow!
The family who plant the most trees will receive a wooden bird feeder made by the woodland group, so bring your family and friends and plant for the future!
