The Education Service has received formal notification by Trade Unions of industrial action on Wednesday 30th November 2011. This industrial action has been initiated by the Trade Unions following a ballot of their members.
This industrial action involves a range of staff in schools including janitorial, catering, cleaning, teaching, childcare, early years workers, classroom assistants, support for learning assistants and administrative staff.
The Education Service has taken the clear position to close schools to pupils based on the uncertainty of staffing levels on the day, which is considered high risk to the safety of children and young people.
You should therefore not send your child to school on Wednesday 30th November.
Industrial action is for one day only and KippenPrimary Schoolwill reopen as usual on Thursday 1st December 2011.
