NHS Forth Valley Public Health Dietitians would like to inform all primary schools throughout Forth Valley about a few nutrition websites which promote good nutrition and health. Furthermore we are continuing to run nutrition campaigns via social media platforms including Facebook (facebook/nhsforthvalley) and Twitter (@NHSForthValley). So Like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter for all our nutrition updates.
Our ‘Community Nutrition’ website has a food-in-schools webpage which is updated regularly and has ideas of food related classroom activities, ideas for healthy snacks and packed lunches, details of useful links and a range of downloadable resources which could be used to promote healthy eating to pupils, staff and parents/carers.
EatBetterFeelBetter.co.uk website has recently launched a ‘Back to School’ campaign to help families looking for inspiration and ideas to get back into a healthier routine. Eat Better Feel Better is available to help Scotland make healthier changes to the way they shop, cook and eat.. so whether it’s easy recipes for school-night teas, handy hints for meal planning or details where to find the best deals on healthy products then log onto www.eatbetterfeelbetter.co.uk .. You can also download and order resources directly from the Eat Better Feel Better website.
I hope you find this information of use.
