Kippen Primary School pupils and staff held a special assembly on Friday 6th May for Mrs Fiona Clark, who retired after more than 20 years service as a school helper.
P1/2 sang School Dinners, P2/3 recited Mrs Clark’s Alphabet, P4/5 sang A Colourful Place, P5/6 sang Our Wee School and P6/7 sang Food Glorious Food and performed a special Dinner Duty Rap in recognition of the many hours Mrs Clark has spent supervising the dinner hall. Classes worked hard to personalise their performances with specially chosen lyrics and words. Musicians Angus Brownlie and Harriet Patterson played the guitar and cello and Anna MacEachern and Eva Moore sang Somewhere Over the Rainbow. The whole school sang a specially adapted version of I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing.
Headteacher Mrs Cassidy thanked Mrs Clark for her service to the school and wished her a very happy and healthy retirement. Mrs Clark was amazed that the pupils had kept the special assembly a secret and thoroughly enjoyed her afternoon.
