On Tuesday 11th May, P7 (with Miss Nicol) will visit the Choices for Life Drug Awareness event at Ingliston in Edinburgh.
Choices for Life is a fun and interactive programme designed to prepare pupils for secondary school and the choices and opportunities they may face. It provides information and guidance to help young people resist negative peer pressure, and illustrates the benefits of choosing a healthy lifestyle free from harmful substances, including tobacco, alcohol and illegal drugs. Over 1/4 million pupils in Scotland have already taken part in the annual multi-media show that includes music, live drama and a quiz.
The bus will collect the children at 9.00am from the school and return by 3.15pm. Pupils should wear school uniform and bring a packed lunch and a small snack and drink (no cans or bottles). Please ensure that you have completed a consent slip and sent payment of £8.40 to the School Office by Friday the 7th of May.
