In previous years the Parent Council have asked all parents for donations of sweets and toys to make up hampers which are then raffled to the children in school. At the recent Parent Council meeting it was suggested that the winning hampers can be quite excessive considering that all the children get so much already. It was agreed that the children could be asked to donate to a foodbank instead.
We are therefore asking the children to bring foodbank donations into the school over the next two weeks. The donations will be given to Start-Up Stirling Crisis Food Bank which supports families and individuals in the Stirling area who are in crisis.
If all children could give their donations to their teacher, the Parent Council will then collect it from the school on Thursday 19th Dec and deliver to the Food Bank.
