As most of you know Kippen Primary School is looking for a new head teacher.
The parent council has a right to be involved in the recruitment process,as a result we have been invited to contribute towards the following:
- The initial screening process
- A ‘meet and greet’ of the candidates
- Participation in the formal interviews
In this process it is the job of the parent council to represent the parents of all children at the school.
With this in mind, an open event will take place next Thursday evening between 6pm and 7pm in the school hall for all interested parents to attend and leave comments on what qualities/attributes which they feel should be taken into account when considering candidates for the position. Once gathered, these will be used to help guide the contributions that the parent council make to the process.
This is your chance to contribute to the recruitment process.
It is important to remember that this discussion is about what is important in the headteacher role, and is not about discussing or critiquing individuals potentially involved in the process.
For those of you who have childcare issues around this date and time, please bring your children along; provisions have been made for them to be supervised while you attend.
If you are unable to attend, please email your comments to the parent council.
