The Grounds Team for 2010-2011 are P1 Thomas, P2 James, P3 Euan, P4 James, P5 Gabrielle, P6 Harriet, P7 Isobel and Sophie.
This year the grounds team are extending the native woodland area with trees donated by the Scottish Woodland Trust. An edible hedge is planned, to be planted along the fencing above the multi court.
The school have applied for a grant from Awards for All. If we are successful, funds will be used to further develop our school grounds. Our plans include a lot of contractual work to make the landscape more interesting and we would like to create a perimeter pathway so we can walk round the edge of the grounds. We also would like to create a sensory garden.
At present we have 6 parent helpers who are involved in sourcing plants and materials, planting bulbs and moving trees to more suitable locations. Hopefully we will be able to set up a rota to help maintain the grounds if we have enough parents interested.
