Breakfast Club

The school has a breakfast club which starts at 8am and runs until 9.00am. It costs £2.00 per child.  It is a warm welcoming environment where children can enjoy a healthy breakfast among friends. The club also runs popular theme days throughout the year. Children attending the club should have a toothbrush/paste in their bag to clean their teeth after eating.

The Club is  a self-financing club, taking no funds from Stirling Council and in particular no funds from the School.

The Club is operated by a catering member of staff (Heidi) employed by Stirling Council together with a parent helper (organised via a parent rota)  thus ensuring that 2 adults are always in attendance.

The Club is open to all children at the school. No prior arrangements are needed for your child\children to attend. You just need bring them in and drop them off and they will be looked after until school begins. The club opens every day of the week and they get a breakfast consisting of 3 items selected from: apple juice, orange juice, milk, hot chocolate, a variety of cereals, Hot Oats ( during winter), yoghurts and toast and jam\marmalade\honey. There are also games, drawing materials and the opportunity for the children to play together in a safe supervised environment.

Some children attend every day, others regularly attend for just part of the week, and yet others appear on an ad hoc basis (ie unforeseen circumstances, one-off changes to parent  work patterns, etc or the children just fancy it). All are welcome and this extends to the parents. Heidi is very happy to provide tea or coffee to parents , so if you’d like to find out what Breakfast Club is like then feel free to bring your child\children and enjoy a breakfast with us.

We are always looking for assistance with the parental Rota. If you feel that you could help occasionally please contact any of the parents named below or pop in one morning. Children of parents covering the Rota can enjoy breakfast at no charge. Any comments on this point should be referred directly to Jo Walker.

If you have any questions regarding the Club (perhaps you are new?) then please feel free to contact Jo walker ( 870943) or Ann Milligan ( 870036) who will  be more than happy to help.

We hope you find this helpful and we’d be very happy to see you at the Club.
