P6 and P7 pupils had a fantastic experience at the Lendrick Muir Residential on 12th-15th September at Rumbling Bridge. There was a lot of fun and laughter, many challenges overcome and a great sense of achievement by all. Groups worked well together – so well that all the eggs survived the Egg Drop.
The food was amazing and there was a good atmosphere in the dinner hall. Pupils demonstrated their skills in making beds and keeping dorms tidy. Everyone shared the jobs of setting and clearing tables.
Pupils stared the John Muir Discovery Award and learned lots of new skills outdoors. We can now measure the height and age of a tree and will be using our skills in the local woodlands.
A big thank you to Mrs Stone, Mr Cubitt and Mrs Robb who accompanied the trip. I hope there are many happy memories – and a bit of peace a quiet for families at home.
We have hundreds of photos so we will make time for pupils to copy the ones that they want to keep.
Thank you again to Lendrick Muir for looking after us so well, to families for getting the pupils organised for the trip and to the pupils for being absolute superstars. You were all a credit to Kippen Primary.
