Kippen Primary’s football team had a clean sweep of the silverware at the recent Small Schools Football and Netball League and Tournament.
The league has been played over the past month, with 2 home games and 2 away games to Fintry, Buchlyvie, Drymen and Gargunock, and the tournament was held at Gargunnock Primary on Tuesday 14th June.
Games in thefootball tournament were rather tense, with a draw in the first game resulting in a win required in the final game to lift the cup. An lead for home team Gargunnock in the first half saw Kippen players having to dig deep and work hard to level the score. An eventual 2-1 win for Kippen earned the team a hard fought victory and the resulting cup. Thanks to Mr Goodwin who has supported the football team during this competition.
The netball team showed an impressive improvement this year, losing out to the eventual league and tournament winners Drymen Primary School. Thanks to Miss Alexander who learned netball over the past year in order to coach the team. Well done to Romeo who was awarded the fair play card in all 4 of the netball matches in the tournament.
Thanks to all the supporters and drivers who have helped out along the way.
We had a great deal of support – even on the rainy days!
