Dalguise 2013

All arrived safely back from a very successful week in Dalguise. Sorry we didn’t manage to get to the wifi point to send day 3 and day 4 reports – just not enough time in between activities! It really was a non stop week.

You’ll probably have heard all about our week  – unless the children have already fallen asleep or are too busy doing all their washing! Thanks to the snow though, there shouldn’t be a lot of very muddy clothes – just a whole bag full of dirty washing by the looks of it during the frantic packing session this morning. Daily dorm points helped to keep the dorms tidy. Apart from occasional floor issues and first night bedtime issue (girls!!) the dorms were pretty immaculate and all children should be congratulated for their efforts in being responsible for their own belongings and working as a team to earn points.  So no excuses for messy bedrooms at home. Blank copies of the points sheets available on request!! Dorm points winners to be announced next week in school.

The very cold and snowy weather didn’t stop activities as usual. Wednesday and Thursday’s activities included Team Games, Climbing, Abseiling, The Giant Swing, Quad Biking, Archery, First Aid, The Tree Climb, The Challenge Course and The Zip Wire. Eveing activities were Robot Wars and a Disco.

We were very impressed with the participation and effort made by our group of P6 and P7 pupils. So many different personal achievements were made and hopefully a lot of many happy memories have been taken away. No hospital trips or doctors visits were needed – phew!

Many thanks to our parent helpers Mr Quinn and Mr Watt. Mr Watt was happy for his photo as Captain Hook in Outdoor Cluedo to be published but sadly the photo of Mr Quinn dancing to YMCA at the Disco didn’t come out! They deserve a very warm, relaxing and peaceful weekend!
