Kippen Families Efforts to Support Refugees

The current refugee situation is extremely distressing and so often we feel helpless to do anything about it, however there are things that we can do in Kippen right now. Two of our Kippen Primary School families are taking action and they would appreciate your support.

Murray & Gregor’s Family – September Challenges for Doctors of The World UK Appeal

Refugees are living in appalling conditions including many unaccompanied children. Many lack essentials such as safe drinking water, adequate food, sanitation and proper shelter. ‘Doctors of the World’ is the only charity providing medical help on the ground in Calais however their valuable work is not sustainable without further funding for the urgent medical and basic humanitarian needs that exist in Calais at the moment.

Whilst politicians over the world discuss what needs done about the refugee crisis there are human beings needing humanitarian aid NOW! Doctors of the World UK urgently need more funding to continue this work.

As a family we have decided to do what we can to help raise funds for Doctors of the World by taking part in several ‘September Challenges’ including ‘50 mile triathlon in a month’ , ‘ no sugar for a month’, ‘no X-box for a month’ ‘no beard shaving for a month’, climbing Ben Lomond, writing a book etc. …. ( more ideas being added all the time J )

We would be grateful if you would visit our fundraising page and support us if you can.
